my two cents;
if you want graphic novels go for one of those tablet thingies, if you
want to read text go for a kindle. The b&w e-ink is superb.

Thanks Ronny, for verifying that numbered copies do exist.  
Mine has the signature in pencil, but no remnants of any number having been put to page. Not to say it was not there, but no indentation or leftover markings.

I guess my copy can be put on list as the fabled "invisible numbered copy" of legend.

Buzz & Bell is a Sergio original graphic novel with gags featuring astronauts.  It was published in the early 1990s in softcover and limited edition hardcover.

He also produced Smokehouse Five which I believe was only released in softcover.

Perhaps try LIGHTLY shading the areas you think the number would have been written with pencil, it might reveal what was previously written! Then of course erase your shading and write in the numbering! Or just number yours 1201 out of 1200!
