Hi Folks!

Just to make sure there is no confusion (after all, we are Groo fans) , this thread is talking about two different books.

Mark, there is a new book put out by IDW that you can read about on their site:

https://shop.idwpublishing.com/sergio-aragones-groo-the-wanderer-artists-edition-pre-order.html

Matthew, great blog about the Sergio book that came out last year. Just as an aside, the book isn't on the Official Unofficial Groo List even though it has some little Groo's in it because they are all reprints of little Groos that originally appeared in MAD.

Not to spoil your fun, but I did a blog post on that very subject a while back, with all the appearances of Groo that I could find in that book: http://warren-peace.blogspot.com/2010/11/i-guess-this-is-what-has-been-consuming.html

Here are the differences:

The cover.
One page that has Sergio's signature, the book number (to 250), and a print. The print is a little odd. It's not original art and it is actually two separate drawings, one of Groo & Rufferto and the other of a dragon, put together to look like one drawing.

That's it. Objectively, that is not worth another $50. Especially if you are able to get Sergio to sign the Regular edition because you were at the Con or knew some wacked out nut job who would buy it for you at the con and send it to you. But who the heck can be objective about Groo??

Then, of course, there are the real wackos who had to have both! (Who would that be, Ronny, Rene, and Chris H.? Oh, and the guy I see in the mirror!)

By the way, the run of the regular edition is only about 1500. We sold 42 at Sergio's table. I don't know how many IDW sold. But it was a good numer. They did not sell all 250 Ltd. editions, but there are probably only 60 or so left and they'll be available on line. At least that's what they told me.

I think that's everything I know.

I think what we all want to know who didn't buy an IDW GROO Limited. edition is: What is only in the Limited Edition and not in the regular edition. (i.e. What is different besides the cover?)
Any info to that aspect is appreciated.---Mike Skinner
