The red boxes were what they used until they got the art from Sergio to use on the green boxes.

Along with the PVC set box, the great Groo flood also ruined all my Dark Horse Miniature boxes.  Have not looked at them in years yet still feeling a sense of loss of a collection item.
Even had a couple of the generic red boxes, as well as the green Groo art box.  

(Any reason there were two different boxes?)
