  It sure would be nice if Dark Horse would release some hardcover compilations in the same format they use for the Hellboy Library Editions.  I'm looking forward to the Artist's Edition from IDW.

  As Ryan said, no authorized digital versions available.  The Groo story your looking for was the very first published story.  It was in Destroyer Duck #1 put ot by Eclipse in 1982.  It was reprinted (actually redrawn) for The Groo Chronicles in 1989.  That came in a hardback edition that is expensive, but also in 6 extra big comic books.  The story you want is in Chronicles #2.  That all being said, Destroyer Duck #1 is probably the easiest to find.
