[Groop] Contest or kickstarter

I had not heard about new Groo either. I kind of got out of comics due to
poverty, had not got back into them after getting a new job. I had thought
I'd hear about new Groo first here, but better late than never, I have no
time to follow other Groo forums. I'm off to the comic shop tomorrow and
try to rectify things. Also I will be needing to replace a bunch of my Groo
back issues as I foolishly knocked a cup of water into a box of comics.
Lost some Asterix too!

Looking forward to some good reading soon,

(Other) Alex

Hi Folks! Kind of answers to various questions and also some thoughts:

*	Funnies hasn't started up yet because Sergio hasn't had the time.
He's bummed about that, but Funnies will be back and from Dark Horse.
*	There will also be a Groo Archives, reprinting old Groo stuff and
Groo art not seen by many, like original covers Spanish Groos and non-Groo
publications.
*	The guy that did the Usagi Yojimbo figures told me he still wants to
do Groo figures, but Sergio hasn't heard from him.
*	It's not a matter of funds needed.  It's a matter of a manufacturer
of X-type of promo product manufacturing one up tpo Sergio's standards and
also paying Sergio an appropriate amount. (Kind of like the Groo Movie
problem)
*	And I agree, the sales figures are disappointing, at least to me.
I'm wondering if there are a lot of folks like Mark Brown who didn't know
about them. I don't know what they were expecting.
*	I'm also wondering what the digital sales are. Maybe that's the
difference.

btw, I am loving Friends and Foes! Take care all,

Gary G.

Seems Groo merchandise isn't exactly flooding the shelves, yet Groo fans are
many and alot of swag is highly sought after since it was produced in low
numbers...ie: ornament card game etc.
The last big swirl of activity was over the new posters. What if some of
these guys who actually have contact with Sergio asked him to donate
something as a prize for a contest, or better yet a Groo funded kickstarter
for something new and exciting (I'd like to see an actual posable Groo
action figure)... What say everybody???
