I want to ask a real big favour of the groop, all you fans of wacky
comic mayhem. A Canadian sit-com offered a contest open to all adults
in Canada to win an appearance on the show. You sent in jokes, (no cut
and paste from the internet allowed); the jokes were rated, picked
over, voted on, voted on again, and finally the finals. It is now down
to me and 9 other entries. Two of them have towns voting for local
heroes, and one of them has the staff and patients of the hospital
where she works voting her entry. My town has less than 200 souls,
most of them computer illiterate. It comes down to this; if most of
the groop will vote for me, I have a chance; without you I can't
possibly make it. Right now I am behind 12 to 80.<br>
<br>
The most Groo content I can promise is that if I win, I will wear the
"Did I Err" shirt for the appearance if they will let me. The
procedure is:
<br>
<br>
go to <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://cornergas.com">http://cornergas.com</a>
and hit <visit dog river>; register from button on second page
and hit activation link in email they will send. Once activated, log
on with screen name and password and open <menu> at top of second
page and hit <dog river hotel> which will take you to the jokes
forum. Open tab marked <the contest> and scroll down and hit
<vote> button associated with <b>"soups on"</b> by Baranthar.
Confirm vote and done!!!
One vote per email address.<br>
The site is fairly slow with dialup and at times seems to have
stalled but it eventually does get there. The contest is over sometime
on the 21st. they don't say exactly when.
<br>
During registration you can lie about your province; pick your
favorite or hey!! Saskatchewan is a great place! Skip all optional
questions and just pick one of the avatars and leave the defaults in
place to speed things up. They have a privacy policy so your email will
not get spammed. If I make it I'll send a chronicle to the groop
about the experience. <br>
Thanking the groop in advance,<br>
Bunny Grooper since Dec-96<br>
