<DIV>Just back from Day 1 at the Motor City Comic Con in Novi, Michigan. So far, it is shaping up to be a great con, and will only be better tomorrow when we remember BEFORE they slap on our wristbands that we should pack the camera.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>My biggest con highlight is not Groo-related, so if you want to read it, you'll have to check my blog (address below) later tonight. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>As always on the first day of a con, Elie and I were wearing our Groo shirts. Fortunately, now we have both the Malaysian Groo and the 20th birthday Groo, so we no longer wear the exact same t-shirt and look cheese(dip)y. This seems to attract a lot of attention, particularly in Artists' Alley. Several of the artists flagged us down to tell us that if we like Groo, we'd love their creation. I'd venture to say they were, on the whole, about 50% accurate. As always, no other character shirts ever get this kind of attention.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>On to the really amusing semi-Groo-related anecdote. We were leafing through the original art at one of the artist tables (since I like this person's art, I won't name names), and he said something that for all the world sounded like "So, you guys are oregano fans." It actually took us a moment to realize he meant "Aragones." I imagine Sergio gets that one a lot.</DIV>
