Chris,<br>
You probably spoke to a clerk with no interest in breaking a sweat by
writing down your request. All the comic shops I've dealt with would
walk on hot coals to set aside books for someone. It's a sure fire
sale! They would either take your card over the phone or give you a
time limit for pick up (like closing on Wednesday). Anyway, I'm buying
all the Solo 11's in my area (besides the ones I pre-ordered) to hand
out at our July 4th BBQ. I want to influence as many relatives and
friends as I can with Sergio and Mark's work, especially the children.
After all, they are the ones who will carry on our legacy.<br>

asked where to buy Solo online and then I decided I could get it at a

minute drive from my house. I asked if they were getting Solo #11 in.
The guy said yes, that they would have it on Wednesday. I asked if I
could reserve a couple and he said, “Oh we can’t do that because we
have already made our order. If we have any to put out on the shelves,
it’s on a first-come first-serve basis.” Now what kind of a stupid way
is that to run a store?!? Order <i>only </i>what you <i>know </i>is
going to sell and have no extra inventory? I mean, you might as well
become a mail-order house. What if Target or WalMart worked that way?
You could only get product if you pre-ordered it. Screw ‘em. I’m
ordering it from Mile High Comics.<br>
