Ok, it is 10:45am in Brooklyn, NY. I have IN MY HANDS the new
pre-ordered
Groo statue! Am I the first? I am not bragging. I am just
curious since I
am surprised no one else seems to have bombarded the
Groop with notices.
Apparently I have #104 of 550 statues made.
The statue is
really cool, and everything is nicely packed and
presented with the tin
box. Maybe someone mentioned it before, but I had
not realized the statue
also came with a button too. It is all most
excellent. :)
At this point I bet Yodazone must be bummed he did not pre-order
his.
Hopefully you will be able to find it elsewhere. I feel bad you did
not
pre-order it... or any possible Groop member who did not, although
IS there
any other Groop member who did not pre-order theirs?).
Actually, maybe a little part of me does not feel so bad. Due to
my Groop
notices probably all of you know I have wanted to trade two out
of six Groo
insert cards for just a single IG-8 insert card (by the way
even though I
have heard from three or four people, no one has yet
locked down the deal
with me, so the trade is still available). Well,
there was an IG-8 card for
auction on eBay and within just a day or two
of the auction being listed
Yodazone made a barter deal with the seller
on the side, thus making the
IG-8 card unavailable for bidding. :(
I did not know Yodazone
was looking for an IG-8 card, but I
definitely got my hopes up when I saw
the auction. A part of me was
hoping he traded for the card in order to do
the deal with me, but alas
that was not the case. I am actually happy for
Yodazone getting an IG-8
card since he obviously wanted one, and in fact I
am sorry he did not
pre-order his statue. I just mentioned the IG-8 card
barter he made as a
friendly jab, AND maybe someone else on the Groop might
take notice that
my trade offer is still up for grabs.
I
will certainly keep my eye out for statue if anyone, including
Yodazone
wants one. Maybe with me being in NYC I might have a good
chance of coming
across it. I work as a courier in the city, so I get
around. In fact I
checked one of the larger shops in midtown toward the
end of this past week
while I was waiting for more pick-ups.
Unfortunately I did not see any of
the statues. Maybe the release date
was in fact the ship date rather than
the release date in stores.
Perhaps I will come across the statue in the
next week or two. If I do I
will post it on the Groop.
...and to all ya Groopies, enjoy thy new statues... Yodazone
excluded
