Sergio will be a<br>special guest at the con next year. And the year after. In fact, for<br>the rest of his life, any year there's a Comic-Con International, if<br>Sergio wants to go, he'll be a special guest.<br><br>The convention has this special category called Permanent Guest of<br>Honor. It's reserved for a select few...and in the past, most of the<br>folks who've gotten the honor, like Jack Kirby or Will Eisner,
have<br>passed away. The folks in this category are always invited to be<br>special guests.<br><br>For several years, I lobbied the convention committee to award this<br>status to Sergio. The argument against it was that he was too<br>young...but they finally gave in and voted last year to make him a<br>Permanent Guest of Honor. I think there are only two or three others.<br></blockquote><p>
