Hi Folks!

Well, Mark's request for Groo page counts got me to
dig up some documents I hadn't looked at in awhile and which had not survived
electronically.

I had created a rather unwieldy spreadsheet that had things broken down by
the number of Groo story pages, Sage story pages, etc., how many times recurring
characters appeared and in what issues, stuff like that. I had a hard copy of
this, as well as another documents that had titles and page counts, so I was
able to put something together to send to Mark on an excel spreadsheet pretty
quickly with most of the info he asked for.

I separated the full length stories and shorts and naturally I made a goof
and put a couple short stories in the intro. page column. But Mark’s a smart guy
and had input from other folks, and he said he got everything he needed so
it all worked out. (Plus there were no stories with 5 Intro pages, as any fool
can plainly see.)

So anywho, that got me to want to recreate my page count spreadsheet for all
Groo comics and with Arturo updating the Groo wiki sight it seemed like good
timing. I am done with the easy part, which is reconstructing the count of the
pages inside the Groo comics and other publications with original Groo stories
plus back cover stuff (Rufferto’s plus the back of #100.)

These are the totals for 156 Groo comics, 1 Special, 2 graphic novels, and 7
short stories, one of which was in Groo Chronicles #5. It also includes the 6
Ruffertos that were on the back of the 6 Groo Chronicles. It does not include
any covers or any original pages in reprint publications (other than the 6
Ruffertos and the one original short story) It also doesn’t include a couple
other things that I think Sergio & Mark would agree shouldn’t be counted.

Anywho, the Covers pages count and the original art that in reprints count
get tricky and complicated. More on that later. This is too long already.
