Hi Folks!

Just want everyone to know that I haven't forgotten the Membership Card project. However, the combination of the T-shirts and the expansion of the Membership card project got me all out of whack as far as keeping membership card stuff organized. Plus I have stuff received from some folks on my work computer and stuff received from others on my home computer and some stuff on both computers. Plus some folks paid for the cards and the shirt at the same time. In addition to all that, the T-shirt thing came up when there was a very fortuitous, but very short, lull in my workload, which has since been balanced out by my being dumped on with several projects that bosses and bosses bosses are actually paying attention to. So…

I will get everything organized. I will sort out who ordered what color cards with what words and letters and numbers and years and who has paid for them. And people will still be able to order cards of either color if they haven't already.

It just may take a little bit more time than I would like.

Meanwhile, GO TO YOUR LOCAL COMIC SHOP OR THE TFAW WEB SITE AND ORDER 2 OR 3 COPIES OF THE GROO 25TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL.

And tell people you know who used to read Groo or are the type of folks who might like to read Groo to do the same!!! As Eric pointed out, the first Dark Horse Groo in 1998 had 21,300 preorders and by the last Groo in April of 2002, preorders were down to 10,100. (Dropping it from #117 to the 160's.) I don't think the sales through TFAW will show up in the preorder figures, but that doesn't matter

I don't know if we can actually do anything that will have a substantive effect on total sales, but we can at least try to spread the word outside regular comic book channels! I have run into a tons of folks who have fond memories of reading Groo in the Epic days, but haven't read him since. If we could just tap into a little of that potential market that would be something.
