far as i know, they artists proofs *are* legit; they are done in advance of
the rest of ltd runs - i actually have an artists' proof of the first alex
ross wb store plate, done about 10 years ago; i ordered one from a wb store,
and they were unable to get one, because it had just sold out. however,
the store *was* able to get me an artists' proof - it is identical in every
way, except where it says "number ___ of ____", it has the words "artist
proof", instead of a number.<BR>i would say this item is on the
