Hi Folks!

I was going to try and put my first post off longer, but the situation is too ripe.

First off, I suppose it is no surprize I am top poster again, what with the shirts and programs and such, but this has gotten ridicules!!! I checked back on old digests, and it turns out I have been the top poster since 2000! In 1999, Nate "Sparky Urinetoast Now Making a Living in Comics" Piekos had over 400 posts and I was second with well over 350. I think 1998 was about the same. Since then, no matter how I try, I've posted the most, even though I've only been over 200 a couple times. And of course the year I posted a low (for me ) total (only 117) was the year the Groop as a whole posted the fewest it ever has. Soooooo..

I Vow Not To Be The Top Poster for 2008!!!!!!
(Think how much less wear and tear there will be on your delete keys!)

To that end, my first post will be a combined post:

Happy Groo Year to all. My Groo Year has gotten off to a great start. Our power went out and Groo Brain that I am, I went to investigate (It was a power line downed by the wind. Duh!) and when I turned around to go back home, the fire department would not let me back up the road. No big deal really. Just one of those little Grooish inconveniences that I could have avoided if I had just stayed home. So I here I sit in my office (wasting the taxpayer's money-Ouch! That hurt, John!) waiting for word that my road is open.

No Hats yet.

Has everyone who wanted one received their Mid Ohio Con program?

Jared, congrats on moving to new house and finding DH Extra #42. A tough find. I'm curious to know what Mile High charged. And think of your new house as an empty palet, waiting to be painted with Groo comics and paraphernailia all over the place! I'm sure your wife will love the idea.

I predict Jonny will have a great 2008. Anyone with crazy enough to read Groo and join the Groop has what it takes to lick demon rum.

I hereby rule that Glorko (Ruler of the Plant Zoltron) gets his post back. I know that Larry will concur so at worst it's a 2-1 in his favor. (And the fact that I know things about Larry he doesn't want made public and that I have huge investments in Zoltron real estate have nothing to do with my or ruling or Larry's concurrance.)

OK, I think that covers everything from the ridicules to the sublime (mostly ther former)

Take care all (and if you power goes out, grab your flashlights, light your candles, and stay home!)

-Gary "Low Post" Grossmann

PS The Vegas odds are currently 2-1 against me keeping my vow and not being the 2008 high poster.
