Yesterday, I was thinking that comedy is so subjective. What's<BR>
really funny to one person may not be funny at all to another<BR>
person. It depends on your background and your likes and dis-<BR>
likes. In addition, if the joke is about current events, it depends<BR>
on how much you know about the current events.<BR>

For example, I was watching Frank Caliendo videos on youtube.com.<BR>
Frank does voice impressions of celebrities. I think he's really funny!<BR>
But if you don't watch sports, then his John Madden, Jim Rome, and<BR>
Charles Barkeley impressions are meaningless. If you didn't watch<BR>
Seinfeld, Robin Williams, Robert DeNiro, or Al Pacino (all older TV and<BR>
movie stars), then these impressions are meaningless. Finally, if<BR>
you're not up to date on the election (current events), then his<BR>
George Bush, Barack Obama, and John McCain impressions are mean-<BR>
ingless. When Frank appears on talk shows (like the Tonight Show)<BR>
on TV, watch the other guests. The other guests don't laugh at<BR>
every impression -- only the ones that are funny to them, depend-<BR>
ing on their background.<BR>

Anyway, sorry Mark and Larry came to fisticuffs about comedy.<BR>
It's not worth fighting over. Plus, it's probably not possible to con-<BR>
vince someone that something is funny.<BR>
