Cool. I was saying that, since my only frame of reference to Coos Bay is the Ray Stevens Haircut Song. In which he in his shame of being a musician, he always tells the barber he's a logger (just up from Coos Bay Oregon. Been topping trees).

Hey Gabe!

No, my son is not a logger. He is, or will be, a chef. He just graduated from a culinary school in Coos Bay. He was the only one in his class that had a 4 year degree (in biology) and part of his work study was tudoring some of his classmates in math and science classes they had to take. But just like all of the cartoonists and artists at the conventions, he is pursuing his passion, which in his case is cooking.

(Hey, I was only two letters off!)

To those of you who have sent me messages in the last few days, I apologize for not getting back to you. I have been out of town helping my sone move from Coos Bay, Oregon (yes, it does really exist) to Walnut Creek, CA, which is just east of San Fransisco & Oakland. I tried to coodinate the move with going down to Ojai, but in true Groo fashion, the various locations and times were all backasswards from where and when they needed to be for that work out, so there has been lots of backing and forthing up and down the west coast this week and I am a little toasted. (It did not help that my son lived on the 5th floor of a 5 story walk up)
