The quintessential (and original) barbarian rogue hero vs. the </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">quintessential barbarian rogue hero parody. But when I looked at the Dark Horse Conan </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">forum a couple years ago when the Groo/Conan crossover first came up seriously, </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">I was quite surprised to find out what a bunch of snobs some of them were with regards to</span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> Groo. </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">How in the heck can Conan comic book fans be snobs? I mean come on. It's Conan! </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">And it's the comic book Conan for crying out loud. I'm a big fan of the Conan books and</span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> stories. I own and have read every one. (See, now I'm being a snob!) I've got my opinions</span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> on the post-Howard authors that are good and the ones who stink. But to think that Conan </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">stories are somehow above a crossover with Groo is laughable. These guys take their </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">action adventure escapism way, way too seriously. </span><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> </span><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">But anyway, I mentioned the </span></pre><pre style="background: white;"><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;">reaction some of the Conan fans had to the idea of Groo </span><span style="font-family: arial black,avant garde; font-size: x-small;"> v.
