I arrived at the venue maybe 11 o'clock, and i was sitting in my car having some beers. i saw plenty of guys show up but not so many ladies, and i saw a few people leaving.. i was thinking hmmm maybe i should just bust outta here and go check out heather. but as fate had it, i "headed home."

the venue was good, plenty of space to dance or chill, sound was aight although. i've heard lillyanne a few times now.. not sure how to describe her sound in terms of house music, but to me it has this funky 80's kinda flare. she has her moments and mixes really clean, but i'd like to see her work a little harder on the decks.. don't let those tracks ride so long!

julius "the mad thinker." maybe more like julius, "what are you thinking about." during his set i went and sat on the couch where i could watch him.. i'm glad HE was having a good time and feeling his beats. maybe the alcohol, but i don't remember much of his set...

by the time mr. tony watson came on, there were just a handful of groovers left.. some dudes dragged one of the couches out onto the dance floor, which gave it this kinda living room vibe as tony took us to places we've never been before. really, i have never heard tony play like this.. from dnb speed live drum rhythms to r&b/soulful beats, to just flat out weirdo feelgood house--a most intimate session. i wish i could buy stock in tony watson.

overall i'm glad i went.. made a few friends, helped out some bums, and got to hear some different music. thanks to the heading home crew for all your effort.
