Alright, only a few more days until GRAVITY (Saturday 12/28/2002)...
I can say, for one, that I am very excited for this party.
Firstly, because it's been a good while since we've had hand at throwing
anything...electric is on hiatus for the winter, and our last gravity was
months ago as well...
Secondly, because I've been really thinking a lot lately about the state of
the world and it's people. It's a very tense time, people are going about
their business, but there is still an underlying uncertainty about what's
going to happen to us.
I've had the good fortune in life to have been able to attend many gathering
surrounding music of all forms. Most recently those gatherings have been
surrounding house music and the house music community...the sounds, the
faces, the dancing, friendship...all of these things have helped me find my
hope and faith in the idea of unity. When people come together and dance,
join in a love for music and creativity...in the release of tension and
anxiety through pure movement and light...well all of that is real to me.
Not much makes me happier than turning around and seeing a dancefloor full
of people, just ROCKIN, shouting, laughing, clapping...to me, that's it
right there...that's what it's all about.
This is why I am most excited about GRAVITY this Saturday...that we have the
opportunity to bring people together for that purpose...that at the end of
the night, I know that there will be some positivity put out into the
world...so please, do come and join us for our third rendition of GRAVITY...
If you reply (privately) to this email, we will put you on a guest list

that is half of what we are charging at the door that night. We just want to

Let me just say right now that there will be some SMOKIN' record action that

amazing...
