Well, it's been a while since I've sent a review on a party. But here it is.
I must say it was definitly a great nite for music last night. Let's see,
where do I start... well walked in and Buck was on the decks (missed Koolaid
but heard he played good). Buck played some cool tunes breaking it down here
and there and finishing it up with some funkier tracks. Rasoul then stepped
on and took it on the Naked tip level at the beginning then rocked it out SF
stylee! Great set. Next up was Spun. I've heard him plenty times in the past
and thought he was a bit inconsistant. But last night was a different story.
He must of packed all his arsinal in his record bag because from beginning
to end he was droppin' the cuts! Very impressed by his programming and
mixing. Way to get the people that were there on the floor and movin' their
bootties.
I even found myself dancing to his groove.
It's too bad the L.A. house community can't learn to imbrase not only new
talent, but different talent aswell. Com'on L.A. It's time to wake up and
smell the new/different talent! It's also sad to know that these people are
trying very hard to bring something different that is of quality. Keep it up
Union Sound System as you guys are heading in the right direction. Keep your
unique line ups coming and keep puting it down your way. Keep an eye out for
these guys L.A. because they are onto something good.
Much Respect,
Carlos aka G-Dubbs
