[Dynagroove] A question re: Solid Gold

Personaly I like hearing the cutting edge tracks.  When I hear the same
old classics over and over again with the same old records from the same
era it gets dull.  To me the great thing about house is that it is fresh
and has new styles spawning.  For example the electro-house seems to be
spawning..  a few months back the 80's resergence was in full fource.  Of
course Disco-house is always behind the corner with some new twist.  If a
DJ jumps up and plays nothing but hits then I wonder what he is getting
pais for because we all know the hits and anyone can buy them.. Any DJ can
beatmatch..  Nothing special about it.  But if we do it once a year then
it has the value of nostalgia behind it.

There is one DJ in particular that used to be pretty big but all he
started to play were the "retro" sets...  After 2 months I had no desire
to see him anymore... I wanted to hear something fresh and insperational..

To me nothing is sicker then hearing a sick new track that you have never
heard before...  Then it is even fun to watch that track become a hit.
