It's not really that surprising if you think about it... 
if you've ever been to Detroit, you can understand why they'd rather live here 

...and as for rarely playing out here... that's not surprising considering that 
LA doesn't seem to have any interest in techno that's not just "trance in 
disguise"  I can count the number of Angelenos that I know that love real 
techno on one hand...
