i just dont know how any of you fools can say that little loui sucks in any way. he is old school. now get off of mark farinas nuts. every dj is not going to have a perfect set every time they play. so dont expect a superstar performance when you go out to see these fools. yes they are pre-maddonas ie: having the nerve to charge 10,000.00 every time they play, and limmos. come on. and yes melodic 99 was dope. i did go, and it was at the lame ass fox theater. i will forever love house music. but the sceane is busted due to high expectations. lets get back to simplicity. i have just as much fun listening to no-name djs.

.......... yes the scene is DEAD compared to early 90s
not as many people are fueled by that beautiful decadent vibe of days
past .... but if you're craving that house vibe ...
there is this one party that has tried to stick with the
old school formula ... warehouse, locals and out of towner djs, free
music at door, themed, and you will always hear people Whooping and
Shouting at these parties .... unless it rains cuz people are scared of
water ....... anyways for those who want to bring in and up the youth..
rave style ... come check out the TROPICAL HOUSE VIBE this saturday :)

I think Melodic was the underground source of La...If this event is
discontinued, there will be no O.G. Background for LA...we will have
nothing left but weeklies and standard performances...Christina...

This review has been a long time coming, but I just played my copy of
Rythmik's "Whatcha know" today at work and everyone wanted to know who we
were listening to cuz they dug it.

I LOVE this cd. The mixing is clean and seamless, the tracks are deeeep,
and it just flows.

Butts are wigglin in our seats, and 9 out of 10 customer service agents
agree, we need to see this boy out more often.

Hello everyone,
I recently ran into Alvaro and we discussed him doing another Melodic.
I told him about the dynagroove list and how people truly loved the old
Melodic events (but he didn't believe me!!)
So if anyone and everyone can please send me an email (which I will
forward to him) discussing ideas, thoughts, memories of past Melodics and
future Melodics PLEASE :)

Thankyou kindly,
Much love and music,
Michelle

I'd love to know who on this list was at Melodic in 1999 (i
believe)...anyone???

I had just moved to LA in August 98 and kept hearing about the Melodic
parties...I finally went in 1999, Mark Farina played a 6 hour set and it was
the first time I felt at home in L.A. I ended up seeing everyone I had
already met in the scene and I still remember everything about that night...

It was at a venue that was soon after shut down...it was one big room in
Hollywood.

And we got Free J-Dub/Heather TAPES at the door...old school!!!!

Please, please, please...can we do it again???

Melodic is the kind of party that will actually bring me out again ;)
