"Yo
You can not sleep on this
For I make noise"
(Name that tune!)
Louis and Irik are the dynamic duo who know what is up. i might not like
irik's old sneakers but that fucker has the cuts! And Louis, well I
usually like enough to comment on his kicks and his records i like so much
that i sometimes hit him. a record collection so dope it causes others to
inflict bodily harm on you is nothing to be sniffed at. i like them so
much that i wrote their mini bio~ (See below).
HOWEVER, I have started writing a column of event reviews for Sleeve
Magazine (mysleeve.com). Louis and Irik are dope, but we at Sleeve and
HeadingHome are a notch above and WEDNESDAY JANUARY 21ST IS ALSO:
Live on Stage, Performing the New Single Believe
Belinda Kazanci (vocals)
&
Performing the Upcoming Single Rescue Me
Michael Carter (vocals)
+ Live Percussion by Art Bailey / Live Sax by John Juster
Along with DJs for the evening:
Hotlips & Hawkeye
Ryan Craig
The Premature Wig
Headinghome is located at The Hollywood Canteen
1006 Seward Street, Hollywood

> About Louis FS & Irik
> With 15 years of DJing collectively under their belts, Louis FS (Free
Thinking, You & I, Mixing Pieces, BasementFunk/Los Angeles) and Irik
(Chapter One, Mixing Pieces, Free Thinking/Los Angeles) continue to lend
their innovative and eclectic musical stylings to a scene where many of
its
> followers have become bored. Using their most recent group endeavor to push
> present boundaries of what can be accepted as ³Music for the Masses²,
Mixing
> Pieces tastefully pairs the staccato intonations of Euro and American
Broken
> Beat with the harder sounds of Detroit and German techno. Louis FS and Irik
> both show remarkable talent in blending music and intellect, finetuning the
> now trademark Mixing Pieces sound by bringing you tomorrows¹ sound,
today. With ease they are fast earning the appreciation of both the
casual party goer and the superior musical afficionado alike. You can
catch Louis FS and
> Irik on the Boardner¹s Patio @ Free Thinking on the second Friday of the
month with their residency at Mixing Pieces. Be on the lookout for what
they
> have already planned for 2004.
