Brian started DJing in 1989 at the early age of 13. "I used to spin
Freestyle and what was considered dance music, but I also grew up listening
to R&B and Hip Hop, so I've always had love for vocals. It's a very
important part of music for me"
Heavily influenced by DJs such as Marques Wyatt, Little Louie Vega, Tony
Humphries, Master Kev, Joe Claussell, Ron Trent, DJ Spinna, Frankie
Feliciano, Mark Farina, Diz, and DJ Heather, Brian is striving to bring a
unique and fresh vibe to his home town of San Diego.
Brian has played in some of San Diego's most famous spots including E-Street
Alley, Ole Madrid, Onyx Room, Aubergene and the Legendary Juke Joint Cafe.
He hopes to spread his sound into the Los Angeles and San Francisco area
over the next year, as well as across the U.S. and Internationally. Brian
currently holds a residency every Friday @ the Red C Lounge along with
talented local DJs like Dustin Brown, Erick Diaz, Matt Mussleman, Nate S,
and Mikeytown.
Brian's hard work and perseverance earned him a guest appearance at Marques
Wyatt's Sunday ritual: DEEP. "The whole experience of DEEP is eye opening.
Go there with an open-mind. It will challenge what you already know, or
thought you knew about house music. Playing there has been an important step
in my career." Brian has also opened for DJs like Gene Farris, Eddie Amador,
James Curd, Dennis Ferrer, and Miles Maeda.
