Hey Sheik

I was hoping someone else on Dynagroove would answer these questions for you, 
because I'm not the type to hype my own parties for fear of sounding too 
gratuitously self-promotional (I know, I gotta get over that).  But since that 
hasn't happened, I'll tell you what I know and found out:

I booked Cle based on his great reputation and a dope funky mix I heard.  
I've never seen him live but I've been told by many that he's phenomenal.  Ever 
since I booked him, many people in the know (DJs, producers, promoters, label 
owners, club goers, and even a singer of a local rock band!) to whom I've sent 
or provided a flier, all reacted almost exactly the same: first their eyes get 
wide open, then they say "you got Cle Acklin playin?  wow! he's 
awesome/great/bangin etc...".  

So I did a little more research on the man.  I listened to any music that 
he's writen and produced wherever I could find it.  And what I heard from his 
music was fantastic! For lack of a better word, I would call his music 
techy/acidy house, but thoughtful and sophisticated.  

Cle is essentially a heavyweight in this LA house scene, and he doesn't play 
out that often, preferring to concentrate on his production work.  So it's 
certainly a treat for us to have him, especially along with another heavyweight, 
Liza Richardson (who herself was among those that got really excited about 
playing with Cle!).   So yes, I would strongly recommend that you come see 
him...=)
