[Dynagroove] weekend reviews????

I am still stunned by the way Doc fired it up on Saturday night (it's Tuesday, btw). At each Sublevel, all of which I have attended this year, there are inevitably multiple notorious and familiar Doc selections thrown in the mix. His set on Saturday was all new, fresh out of the oven and HOT, HOT, HOT. Oh yeah, and Lillia. Rad.
 
Mark Farina was held at the Montmartre Lounge which unfortunately brings a posh Hollywood crowd. And, at thirty bucks a pop at the door, I'm ready to write Om Records (and other involved parties) about bringing it back underground. SERIOUSLY. But once Mark hopped on, the dirty, the cheesy and the clean all got down- dance floor packed. I haven't a recent Farina set to compare it to since it has been one full year since since his last club set in LA (I could be wrong-KCRW afterparty?) but I will always love his bass-heavy, talented mixing.
