WALLY CALLERIO-Dufflebag, Digibag.com
In 1998, he stared his residency with How Sweet It Is and Jujubeats of
Los Angeles' B3 Cande Production. Also in 1998, he unveiled his label,
Dufflebag Recordings. In 1999, he proudly released his first song, Say
What? on Life Records, as well as releasing his first piece of vinyl on
his own label. His first record, DBVOO1 (Dj vu side 1 and Whispers side
2), has been reviewed and described by XLR8R magazine, (issue #38-
House Reviews) as, "music that hits you in all the right places and
brings the floor to elation." It has been licensed by Mark Bell and Doc
Martin's label, Shaboom. Other projects include: a second undertaking
with Life Records, Delusional, along with Jason Blakemore and Natural
Rhythm, Also he plans to release records with San Francisco's Panhandle
label, The Topewa Project, (a co-production with Natural Rhythm) and
Get n' off (a collaboration with Stompy's, Jonene).
Wally Callerio has been djing for over a decade. His pilgrimage began
in 1988, and since then he has been developing a sound that embodies
the freedom of rhythm. His public appearances began in 1994. Soon
after, he began his residency with Love, The Love Family, Los Angeles,
whom is well into it's seventh year. He continued to appear regularly
in the greater Los Angeles area and has evolved as one of LA's finest
veteran House DJ's.
The foundation for his style continues to be motivated by his ability
to manipulate the mood of a crowd through rhythm. He also has numerous
projects in the works that have not yet been disclosed. His success is
definitely a direct result of his ability to experiment with sounds and
the creativity with which he arranges his beats. Catch his latest cuts,
Afterhours which is being played by Derrick Carter, Mark Farina, Miss
Honey Dijon and countless others!!!
