OK josh,

Not to tear you up on the board infront of everyone. But here are some
points I have and other promoters should pay attention.

> As far as the bar is concerned the Venue had no idea as many people

when booking miguel miggs, mark farina, and (sometimes) derrick Carter you
can pretty much assume you will get atleast 400+ people. As a promoter it
is up to you to tell the venue what to expect. And when they complain
about staffing costs yuou complain right back and bitch and moan untill
you have been staffed appropriately. What I usually do is ask the venue
to have atleast 1 or 2 bartenders on call/reserve.

You have not done anything different then what an average "underground"
promoter does not do EVERYTIME they throw a party. As you state that you
took a big risk.. some of us think a legal venue is hardly a risk. Try
arriving at a warehouse venue w/ no bar, electricit, chairs, or
airconditioning and makeing it work. lol. You have to be prepared for
everything. I did a party recently and my front door/glate was bolted
shut.. lol YOu gotta cover your bases..

trust me the fact that you did a legal venue is a LOT easier then a
warehouse/studio party..

No one doubts your dedication or hard work. I am positive you learned
from your mistakes.. But have others?

There is a saying that "a wise man learns from his mistakes" but I like to
say "A brilliant man learns from the wise man's mistakes."

There are many wise men in the scene are their any brilliant ones?

To bad about the event josh.. Tell those fuckers at the venue to get more
staff and give you a bigger cut of the bar... those greedy cocksuckers..
now is the time to re-negotiate! lol

Josh is a hard working promoter. He has done a lot for OC. I would hit
more of his events if posible but my old ass loves his sleep now. OC ios
to far for a weekday lol..

Toodle-loo

Cade
