[Dynagroove] Did anyone go to 2MANYDJS?

I did.

First, I must say that most anything I go to at Vanguard I have fun at. 
Maybe its some leftover Qtopia espestos that triggers something....

Nite Versions was like a rave rock band....  Inbetween original live songs
they would play records.  The rave rock was good and floor shaking, but it
got a little hard at times.

2manydjs was the shit.  Futuremusic at it's best, but it also got into
some hard techno that was a little much for me on a Thursday.  I remember
some 2manydjs mixes that had some 80s hip hop/new wave thrown in.  It
seems that they are on the electro bandwagon and that is all fine with
wine, but the set lacked funkiness.  Just where the perfect break for some
funk or hip hop would come, some more hard electro was dropped.  Don't get
me wrong; I was into it, but I had this moment of fright where I realized
that the set would have had people BANGING at Giant or Avalon or somewhere
"like that."  "Oh my god, am i turning into a Giant Raver, no no, please
NOOOOOOOOOO!"  I left before the set was over.....maybe it got funkier
later.  Anyone?

Still, even without the ample amount of funkinesss, you couldn't beat
2manydjs for FREE at Vanguard last Thursday.  You even got the chance to
hear a rave rock band.
