"Ew, Faggots" ?????????????

No effing way!!! I can't believe anyone would have the nerve to say such a
hateful thing, especially in such a gay-friendly community.  I am glad I
didn't hear her, I probably would have caused a scene, especially if it
was later in the night after I'd had a few drinks...

But onto the positive side of things...

Solid Gold was just that.  A Soild, golden party.  I haven't danced that
hard since... last year's SOlid Gold, I think!  Luckily for me, Solid Gold
always falls either right at the beginning or right at the end of my
spring break.  I always need to "get outta dodge" during spring break, but
I always wait to book my plane ticket until I know the date of Solid Gold,
so I can plan my trip around it. I would not miss this party for ANYTHING!

This year's party, I think, was the best one yet. I tend to measure the
merit of a party by the amount of time I spend dancing with my eyes
closed.  So sorry to anyone I crashed into, as I spent a LOT of the night
in my own closed-eyed universe. At last year's Solid Gold I thought, "I've
never danced this hard in my life!" But I definitely danced even more at
this one.  There was just something in the air... everyone seemed really
ready to celebrate.  The venue looked the best I've ever seen it (the
decor really adds that special touch!), the sound was good, the vibe was
THICK, and the music evoked more cheering than I've ever heard before.  I
kept going outside to cool off only to be magnetized right back inside,
yelling, "Oh! That's my song!"  DId anyone check our my SOPPING wet hair
at 4:30 am? (Thus all the "hiding" photos that Violet took of me:). I
looked like a wet dog and I didn't even care... I just kept dancing with
my eyes closed...

And even though I didn't get to hear my annual request (Fonda Rae's
"Living in Ecstasy") I was thrilled to end the night with "Circles"
surrounded by my old school dyna fam, Zoki, Fab and Cade.  I still love
you guys. I can't believe it's been NINE YEARS since the first Dynagroove.
 Cade, I am truly honored to have been even a small part of the magic all
these years.

I heart the LA house community.
Now let's gear up for the best summer EVER!!
