one idiot at
a party does NOT a scene make.  i actively recruit all people
to parties.
gay, straight, rich, poor.  i think your musical tastes have
changed over the
years perhaps and that may be causing some of your
disillusionment.  but
really if any one calls you a 'faggot' at one of our
parties you let me
know...  intolerance will not be tolerated. ;P

remember these people come
from different backgrounds and this little
place called 'the public' so it's
not easy to know who may show up and be
an asshole.  and these people just may
not know yet, the power of music
being a catalyst for change.  and i'd also
urge you to not give up on
people so easy and isolate yourself into a comfort
zone.... honestly your
presence is what helps them change their minds most of
the time.
sometimes it's closeted and sometimes it's gradual but most times
if they
stick around long enough they open up to the people they party with.
to quote a brett johnson track.... 'come back baby!!!'
