This message is regarding Cathouse Productions and their shady business
practices.  I simply want to inform my fellow djs about this promoter so that
this does not happen to them. 
I was booked by Kris of Cathouse productions to dj an after party for one of
their swinger parties on 7.19.09.  I woke up at 4 am that morning just so I
could drive 2 ½ hours to their Woodland Hills location. When I get there I am
surprised to find that there is hardly a party taking place….just a few guys
hanging out…
Anywho, I asked one of the guys to show me where the dj booth is and he walked
me over to an empty table where a dj set up was the night before for their
swinger party.  I asked him if he could go grab the promoter or maybe even
Kris (the guy that booked me) When he came back he told me that Kris had left
hours ago and there was no promoter for me to talk to.  I so was pissed!!!  I
told the guy, “ You mean to tell me that I stayed home on a Saturday night
so I could rest up for a 6 am gig that I drove 2 ½ hrs to get to, that I am
not going to be compensated for?”  The swinger tards then told me yes and
that there was nothing they would do to help.  I told them that I was gonna
have to put the Cathouse production company on blast and they said “do what
you gotta do.”
Since then I have tried to contact Kris many times via internet, phone and
text with no luck.  In my messages I told him about the inconveniences he
created and that he needs to cut me a check for AT LEAST gas funds.  I also
told him that if he continues to ignore me and my request for compensation
that I will have to put the word out about how shady and unprofessional Kris
and CatHouse Produtions are….so here I am…
Do not support these shady sickos!!!! Do not do business with these people
cause they obviously have no morals or
professionalism​!​​!​​!​​!​​ 
The moral of the story:
If you are a dj- NEVER accept a gig for unknown promoters without a
contract!!!!!! It was my dumb ass mistake for slacking on that. I have
definitely learned my lesson here!
If you are a promoter-NEVER treat people that you work with in this manner!
Have respect! If your party turns out wack and your attendance is low, you
should take responsibility and call the djs that have yet to play to tell them
not to bother coming out….simply tell them the truth….tell them that you
are a shitty promoter and you can’t afford to pay them!!!!!
I really did not want to put these people on blast like this, but I am doing
what I feel needs to be done so that this won’t happen again. If I have
offended anyone that is associated with Cathouse Productions, I
apologize….​​Maybe you should hire some responsible  people to do your
bookings next time ;)
