[Groop] My story

Hi all,

I sent this story to ME in the hopes it would get published, but it
wasn't.  Boo hoo hoo hoo!  So, I'll share it with you kind peeps.  This
story is true.

A friend of mine, and I spent the last year visiting various meetings in
San Francisco.  We are Buddhist and rather than going to a temple or
church or synagogue or whatever, Buddhists have monthly meetings in
their homes.  The city is broken up into 34 different districts so that
ppl who live near each other can support one another.

We decided to visit every single district, which no one had done
before.  
A little while back we completed our quest.  We visited the final
district.  And when the meeting ended, a man stood up and said:

"Let us thank our two MENDICANTS who have come...blah blah blah.."

My mouth just dropped.  I couldn't believe what I had heard...he'd even
used the term correctly.

Is this amazing or what?!?!  Am I think first Groopie to be called a
mendicant?  Or am I just the first to admit it.  Either way, I am
tremendously proud.
