-Come join the Cartoon Art Museum on Friday, April 20 as it bids farewell to 
its Mission Street space and raises money for the rent and renovations of 
its new and improved location on Market Street. To celebrate this new 
chapter, the museum is hosting an animated evening of music, mirth, and 
merriment. Timed to coincide with Oaklandıs WonderCon convention of comic 
book arts, the party will be buzzing with top professionals from the world 
of comics and animation including special guests Sergio Aragones (Groo, Mad 
Magazine), Mark Evanier (Groo), Keith Knight (The K Chronicles), Steve 
Leialoha (Vertigo Comics), Trina Robbins (From Girls to Grrlz and GoGirl!), 
Mark Texeira (Wolverine), Michael Bair (JSA), John Cassaday (Planetary), 
Michael Jantze (The Norm), Steven Weissman (The Lemon Kids and Yikes) and 
more.  In addition, the party presents an excellent opportunity for a sneak 
peek at plans for the museumıs new location.

-Guests will be treated to top notch eats and libations from local 
restaurants including Arizmendi Bakery, Memphis Minnie's, Capp's Corner, Fog 
City Diner, Moose's, Marin Brewing Company, and Black Vodka.  Entertainment 
will include D.J. Mystery Guest from KUSF radio and a live musical 
performance by Nik Phelps & The Sprocket Ensemble set to cutting-edge 
animation created by Jason Shiga, Sara Petty, Nina Paley, Chris Lanier and 
many others.  Guests will also have the chance to win original cartoon art 
and other prizes.
