I think it is okay that a lurker heard of it as a lurker
(me) asked the question.  :o)

Sorry to hear your newspaper has discontinued Liberty Meadows. Our local paper only carries the Sunday colour strip which I like very much. For the daily strip I go here (it is a few days behind but at least I can get it):

You are right about the comic book...I have been collecting them since they started coming out (it is up to issue #19 now). They also just announced a book edition with the colour weekend stuff in it, like they did for Calvin & Hobbes.

P.S. Like your mother, Groo and Liberty Meadows are the only comics I buy these days.

Um, does it count if a lurker has heard of it???

Liberty Meadows had become the favorite comic strip in my family. I say HAD
because the paper we read it in decided to dump it. I am not quite clear why
and letter writing didn't seem to help.

If you want to try it, the comic strip is being reprinted in comic book
form. It is about the only comic, other that Groo, that my mother reads.
