I've worked in a hobby/comic store for the past year (part time). The only tiem
I've ever seen a woman come in for comics was last month. The only time I've
ever seen a woman in any other comic shop, who was there for comics, was the
girlfriend of the clerk (she sat on the floor reading Strangers in Paradise). 
This does not count a shop in my area which actually has a female clerk. That
one made it into the paper. (I'm serious.)
