Hey, everyone! I just received a virus-laden message that says it's
from Gary Grossmann. It's not his fault.

The message is the work of the w32.Klez.H virus. What this virus
does, if you get it, is to scan your computer for e-mail addresses.
Then, it sends an e-mail WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE to everyone which
includes a random file chosen from your computer and a copy of the
virus. If they open it, they get the virus.

This may not have come from Gary. Sometimes, the virus takes an
e-mail address from your computer and puts it in the "From" line. But
if it didn't come from Gary, it came from someone he knows so it will
probably be turning up in your mailbox.

DO NOT OPEN ANY ATTACHMENTS TO MESSAGES that look at all suspicious.
You should have a good virus-checking program installed on your
computer, especially if you have a cable modem or other "always on"
Internet connection. I use Norton AntiVirus but there are many that
work well.

If you are infected with this virus, you can get an antidote at:
http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.tool.html

If this doesn't work, you may have one of several variants that are
making the rounds. That website can tell you how to get rid of
whatever you have.

Remember that until you do, your computer may be sending your private
files and infections to others.
