I love the old MADs... I have a plethora of the paperbacks, and I buy the 
older ones from the 60s and 70s mostly because they were REALLY good then.  
MAD isn't horrible by any means... I still think it beats the heck out of 
Cracked (I hate that magazine so badly...).  But I agree that it is 
definitely taking a turn for the worst...

I still dig MAD XL, though.  The best of the old stuff, that's what I'm 
talking about.  I especially enjoy the SPY vs. SPY strips in there... Kuper's 
stuff in the regular mag are tolerable, but Dave Manak has mimicked Antonio 
Prohias' style so well that those strips are my faves.  Besides Prohias' 
original run, anyway.
