Hi,
My name is Matt Hansel. I'm new to the Groop list. I only started reading
Groo seriously about two years ago. I've tracked down most all the back
issues since then and enjoy the series tremendously.
I'm also a huge fan of all of Mark and Sergio's other projects...or even just
Sergio's.
My goal in life is to someday be able to draw and well as Sergio! And to
write as well as Mark...
A little bit about myself...I'm 26 years old...I've been collecting comics
since I was 13 years old...my favorite artists (other than Sergio) are Jim
Aparo, John Byrne, and Dick Sprang. Favorite writers (other than Mark) are
Denny O'Neil and Frank Miller.
I used to have my own daily comic strip when I was in Graduate School at
Northern Illinois University. I also did spot illustrations, editorial
cartoons and column illustrations for that newspaper.
I've done work for several local radio stations--as a writer, announcer,
producer and reporter. I've also done TV news and entertainment (I hosted a
game show and a talk show).
I currently work for a local county government as a Community Development
Manager--what ever the hell that is!!!
However, I'm working on my first "mini-comic" and continue to doodle-up my
desk calendar each and every month while I'm on the phone at work!!!
I look forward to participating in the Groop exchanges.
Now...for my first question...Does anyone know what Sergio and Mark are
currently working on and when it will come out?
