Several of you have written me about the offer of sets of Groo Trading
Cards, so here's the latest...
The dealer I know who's in financial trouble seems to be in more
trouble than I (and maybe he) thought. I'm worried that if he doesn't
get some cash soon, he may get evicted and that might lead to him not
being able to send out the cards people order. So I've made him an
offer to buy all his Groo cards for immediate cash. If I get them,
I'll complete the collections and resell them for roughly what it
costs me. That way, he'll get the money right now and anyone who
orders will be assured of getting them.
He's deciding if he'll take the offer. (He's selling about two-thirds
of his stock in one big sale to another dealer, and he'd trying to
decide if the other dealer will still take them if the Groo cards
aren't included.) Assuming he does, the price will be around $50 plus
postage to Groop members. If there are any left over, I'll either
give them to Sergio to sell at conventions or I'll sell them through
my website for a slightly higher price so my assistant, who'll do the
packing and mailing, can get a bonus.
I should have an answer in a day or so. Until then, sit tight.
