I have yet to meet Sergio at a con. I'm an aspiring cartoonist who's doing
freelance work currently out of high-school, and Sergio is definitely my main
influence. What's funny is that I didn't think too much about getting "my
collection" autographed. To me its all about the material and the talent
this man possesses, and I think it would be amazing to simply meet the man
and talk with him briefly. I hope to go down to the San Diego con sometime
within the next few years so I can finally meet him.
Which raises the question... will Sergio do small commissions for fans if
offered money and asked politely?
Also, would he accept original fan-art? I'm not sure if this would make him
uncomfortable, since he usually comes on like a modest guy.
On a side note, I hope to buy both Mad Art and Comic Books and Other
Neccessities of Life soon, and I just wanted to tell Mark how much I enjoy
reading his articles at POVonline. I know he hears that every day, but I'm
not sure how many sixteen-year-olds he hears it from.
Thanks,
Tyler Sticka
