<DIV></DIV>&gt;Subject: [Groop]VOTE NOW for Official Groop Membership Card format
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Date: Wed, 22 Jan 2003 22:46:37 -0800 (PST)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Okay, we’re ready for PHASE 1, where we decide on the
<DIV></DIV>&gt;format of the Official Groop Membership Card. Vote Now
<DIV></DIV>&gt;for your preferences, then we’ll price out the most
<DIV></DIV>&gt;popular options, get approval from Mark &amp; Sergio, then
<DIV></DIV>&gt;put it to a final vote (if necessary) with rough
<DIV></DIV>&gt;prices included.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Please note, we’re not actually ordering cards yet,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;we’re still just determining the final format. Don’t
<DIV></DIV>&gt;send an email ordering one until we get final
<DIV></DIV>&gt;approval. We’ll ONLY THEN send out an email specifying
<DIV></DIV>&gt;something like “Order your Official Groop Membership
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Card NOW!” with details.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;First and foremost, how much are you willing to spend
<DIV></DIV>&gt;for a Groop I.D. card?
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. $1-$2
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. $5
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. $10
<DIV></DIV>&gt;4. other
<DIV></DIV>
<P>&gt; </P>
<P>3 kopins</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Second and just as important:
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. All cards should be identical (much better value
<DIV></DIV>&gt;and easier to produce, plus new Groopies could easily
<DIV></DIV>&gt;obtain them without starting up the whole process all
<DIV></DIV>&gt;over again!!!
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. All cards should have customized information like
<DIV></DIV>&gt;member name, membership number, etc. (more fun, but
<DIV></DIV>&gt;more costly, more time-consuming, so we may have to
<DIV></DIV>&gt;skimp on production values, depending on how much
<DIV></DIV>&gt;people are willing to spend).
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. Most cards should have customized information like
<DIV></DIV>&gt;member name, membership number, etc., but we’d also
<DIV></DIV>&gt;make up a large batch of generic cards to give out at
<DIV></DIV>&gt;conventions and for new Groopies.
<DIV></DIV>
<P>&gt; </P>
<P>All cards should be Groo #1</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;This should be called an
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. Official Groop Membership Card
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. Official MULCH card
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. Official CHEESEDIP card
<DIV></DIV>&gt;4. Official MENDICANT card
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>
<P>&gt; </P>
<P>The Groop Memebership Card</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Card stock:
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. Business card stock or similar, NOT laminated, with
<DIV></DIV>&gt;spaces for autographs.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. Business card stock or similar, LAMINATED, but with
<DIV></DIV>&gt;useless spaces for autographs anyway and text “not
<DIV></DIV>
<P>&gt;valid unless signed”. </P>
<P>Card should be frayed and laminated</P>
<P>Text should say " Not valid unless mulched and processed into cheese dip"</P>
<P>&nbsp;</P>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. Business card stock or similar, LAMINATED, no
<DIV></DIV>&gt;spaces for autographs.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;4. Business card stock or similar, with pocket
<DIV></DIV>&gt;laminate enclosed, to be ironed/sealed by member after
<DIV></DIV>&gt;getting it autographed.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;5. Plastic credit card style (most expensive) with no
<DIV></DIV>&gt;customized info.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;6. Plastic credit card style (most expensive) with
<DIV></DIV>&gt;customized info printed on clear label sheets.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Color
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. Jerkin Orange
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. Cheese Dip Yellow
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. Mulch Brown
<DIV></DIV>&gt;4. Black type on black background (please don’t really
<DIV></DIV>&gt;vote for this, you know you want to!)
<DIV></DIV>
<P>Orange</P>
<P>&gt; </P>
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Membership number format
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. None
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. GR00-xxxx-yyyy (where xxxx=year signed up for
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Groop, yyyy is sequentially unique digits, such as
<DIV></DIV>&gt;GR00-1997-0022)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. GR00-xxxx-yyyy (where xxxx=year you started reading
<DIV></DIV>&gt;GROO, yyyy is sequentially unique digits, such as
<DIV></DIV>&gt;GR00-1986-0022)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;4. Number and date separate, so GR00-0022. Member in
<DIV></DIV>&gt;good standing since 1997.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;5. Number and date separate, so GR00-0022. GROO fan
<DIV></DIV>&gt;since 1997.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;
<DIV></DIV>&gt;-----------------------------------------------
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Membership number options
<DIV></DIV>&gt;1. Randomly assign sequence of unique numbers. Sergio,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Mark, Stan, Tom and Gordon would get digits 0001-0005,
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Josh would get 0006 (since he is Our Founder) Ruben
<DIV></DIV>&gt;would get 0007 (Since he's The First Groopie to sign
<DIV></DIV>&gt;up, is that right?) and Gary would get 0008 (since
<DIV></DIV>&gt;he's been publicly acknowledged by The Groo Crew -
<DIV></DIV>&gt;even in print - as the Number One Groo Fan). Number
<DIV></DIV>&gt;0009 would go to whoever takes charge and actually
<DIV></DIV>&gt;makes up the cards, and after that it's randomly
<DIV></DIV>&gt;determined.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;2. Groopies get to pick a 4-digit number that is
<DIV></DIV>&gt;meaningful to them on a first-come, first serve basis.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;(a little bit harder to keep track and have them
<DIV></DIV>&gt;printed up this way)
<DIV></DIV>&gt;3. We’d all get the same serial number, just for
<DIV></DIV>&gt;laughs. (something like:GROO-1982-0001)
