I've noticed the same thing! Pro's both established
and rookie, acclaimed veterans, hot young turks,
journeymen, my Groo shirts (and especially my orange
GROOP shirt) always elicits enthusiastic comments
about Sergio and Mark!

I attribute this to a very simple and easy to
understand fact, one that ANYONE who knows these guys
can verify: they are both fundamentally kind-hearted,
open, honest and generous to a fault, very free with
their time and accessible to fans and peers alike.

During the 2000 San Diego Con especially noteworthy
was our Groop outing to the Eisner Awards to cheer on
the Groo Crew. About 8 of us went (off the top of my
head) with perhaps 4 or 5 of us decked out in our
orange Groop T-shirts. While walking to the Hyatt for
the festivities, we were joined by a tuxedoed Kevin
Smith (CLERKS, JAY & SILENT BOB, GREEN ARROW, etc.)
who wanted to know all about The Groop, having seen us
throughout the con. He walked us into the hotel,
speaking mainly with Groopie Scott Hudlow, speaking
warmly of Sergio and professing admiration for a Groop
of fans as loyal as us!

Just thinking of all of the wonderful characters in
the Groop whom I have met either in person or online,
could it ALSO be that Groo fans THEMSELVES now benefit
from Sergio & Mark's openness? That PERHAPS Groo Fans
have a developed a similar reputation for being
friendly and open? Just wondering, but THAT too could
be an explanation for so many pro's seeing Groo shirts
and initiating conversations with us. Who knows!!!
