I don't agree that DVD/CD/ONLINE comics aren't viable. There's an
entire community of young readers who are growing up with the internet
as a major part of their lives, and the comic fans among them are as
receptive to the online versions as the print ones. pvponline.com and
penny-arcade.com are just a couple of comics sites that have an enormous
fanbase. I've recently become a member of an experimental comics
subscription site at pvcomics.com, which offers hundreds of pages of
comics over the course of a year for less than you'd pay for one print
graphic novel. So far we're doing great.
