Hey Mike,
You haven't really typo'd with this Groop until you've done something like
"dognuts" (Long story)
The last we heard, I think the idea was to do Shrek-like animation, but I
don't think that's actually been settled on. I remember hearing about a
director being signed, which surprised me, because I guess I assumed that
noted animation director Mark Evanier would do the job. He and Sergio have
been working on the script and they are executive producer, which means, I
think, less money up front, but more control.
Mark gives us updates when there are any to give. His primary information
with respect to the Groo Movie is the admonition that there are many, many
things that could derail it. So basically its cross your fingers that it
happens and be confident that if it happens it will be great because Sergio
& Mark are in control.
