While I find your choices interesting, I'd prefer to see an animated Groo
movie done in Sergio's art style. I'd rather see a film that celebrates
the spirit of Mark and Sergio's work. In the back of one of the tp's Mark
said that there was once talk of making a Groo film featuring Chris Farley.
I think that would have ended up being just another Chris Farley movie to
be lumped with TOMMY BOY or BLACK SHEEP. Non-comic fans would have had no
idea that it was based on a long-running cult comic. And many older
movie-goers would have dismissed it entirely. I feel the same would
happen in this case. It would be viewed merely as a "Jack Black vehicle"
and that would overshadow all of the prior work that makes Groo so great in
our minds.
