Hi guys/grrls!
>There is no competiton, really. In fact, the last couple years I've tried
>to decrease my posts and NOT be the top poster. But, alas, it hasn't
>worked. In terms of posts, the Groop used to be a lot more active. (And a
>lot crazier) I think the late 90's was probably the most active time. In
>some years the top posters averaged more than one per day.
Maybe I err, but I think everyone has been decreasing their number of
posts to make sure that Gary is the top poster ...
>Unfortunately, other than the fact that the movie deal is still progressing
>and that Groo meets Conan will someday be done, there isn't much Groo
>news lately. (sigh!)
Maybe I err, but I think there is. Recently: Sergio's appearance/panel at
Wondercon, Sergio's appearance at Santa Cruz, Mark almost made it to
both events, Groo statue pre-order, Groo appeared several times in the
Wondercon program book, Sergio had a prototype of the Groo statue
with the sword moved upward at Wondercon, Sergio is going to appear
at Motor City Comic Con, there's a Groo dedication in the More MAD-Mar-
ginals paperback book, Gary selling his Groo collection on Ebay, the Groo
movie script is in the re-write phase, the movie director was selected,
Sergio is going to do a DC Solo issue, Sergio will be featured in a Comic
Book Artist issue, Sergio found a Portugeese Groo hardcover for Gary,
Groo vs. Conan comic books, Friends and Foes comic books, Dark Horse
Groo TPBs, game re-issue, appearance at the San Diego Comic Con,
Groopies meeting/seeing for the 1st time, etc. etc. etc. ...
It's easy for readers to get impatient, but behind the scenes, a lot of
work goes into each project.
See you.
Eric ("The glass is half full.")
