Gary,
So when you said there were only 50 cards made, did you mean
there were only 50 Sketch cards or 50 of those 9-set cards. By 9-set I
refer to the alternate Groo character representations. Either way, were
both the Sketch cards and the 9-sets inserted randomly into the rest of
the collector cards?
As for the freebie stuff from conventions, that is incredibly
nice of you. I take it then you go to a lot of conventions. ;)
Just out of curiosity what was the image on the pad, how much
did the mouse pad end up selling for, and who the heck bought it? I ask
because I would think anyone interested in buying a Groo mouse pad would
probably know about the Groop and be more sensitive about its purchase.
I am glad to hear Mark and Sergio are ok with people making
there own screensavers or whatever as long as no money is made on it. I
was starting to feel a bit guilty because when I got my new color screen
phone I just HAD to make my own Groo background wallpaper. :) I would
certainly never sell it or anything like that.
As for the song, I am not sure if it is the one you said was
made by a Brazilian rock group. The lyrics are in English, but the
accent of the singer's voice sounds more like Japanese to me. I somehow
came upon the song over the web relatively recently. I did save it on my
computer though. It is a 1.228 mg MP3 file with the filename
"GROO-DirtyJob.mp3." The song sounds kind of grungy with a number of
repeated lines. When playing the file it states the artist is "Dirty
Job," the album is "Animals," and the song is "Groo the Wanderer." The
song itself is pretty short, 1 min, 18 sec. I would think this answer
should satisfy your inquiry. :)

Now that I have responded to your reply, I have another question
for you. While looking for the file info for the song you inquired about
I found some random Groo images I have come across on the web. One is of
what I think might have been a Groo Xmas tree ornament. It is of Groo
apparently climbing on a rope with Rufferto holding on for dear life
with his front paws to Groo's right leg. The two images I have both are
in full color. Unfortunately I can not determine the scale of the
"ornament." My question about this is whether it is actually officially
produced or not, etc.? I can attach or send the image (less than 25k),
but I am not sure if the Groop mail server allows for attachments.

Thanks for being such a great Groopie, Gary. :)
