Ryan,
I am happy to inform you I have an extra bagged & boarded copy
of Death & Taxes #4. :)
I know exactly how you feel in wanting to finish your collection
because I am missing a few key pieces in my own collection:

- Dark Horse Presents Jr. Annual '99, Aug. 1999, Dark Horse
- Mightier than the Sword #2, 2000, Dark Horse
- Set #4 of the 1986 Groo 25mm miniatures (set #704)
- The Death of Groo graphic novel reprint, 1990, Epic/Marvel
(although at the moment I am currently the high bidder on an auction for
this until it ends tomorrow. Wish me luck.)
- "Images of Groo" insert cards IG-2, IG-3, IG-5, IG-6, IG-8, & IG-9

As you can see though, there is nothing on your tradable list,
which I am looking for. In fact, oddly enough, the both of us seem to be
missing Mightier than the Sword #2, which brings me to a proposition I
have, which might be somewhat beneficial to the both of us.
In my own search for Mightier than the Sword #2 about a week ago
I came upon an eBay auction for all four comics in that mini-series. I
did not need the other three, so I sent a message to the seller to offer
to buy just #2 from the series if his auction did not sell. The seller
preferred to sell it as the complete 4 comic set even after the auction
ended with no bids. Now it seems he has re-listed the auction, but
lowered the starting price to $8.99 instead of the previous $9.99. You
can see the auction through this link:

Anyway, what I am suggesting is that you bid and win the
auction. At the moment no one has bid on the re-listed auction and it
has less than 20 hours left in it, so this should not be much of a
problem. By winning the auction you would obviously get the 4 Mightier
than the Sword comics, but I would then trade you the Death & taxes #4 I
now have for the Mightier than the Sword #2 you WOULD have. In the end,
even though you would still be missing Mightier than the Sword #2, you
would be three comics closer to completing your set and you would have
an extra copy of Mightier than the Sword #4.
Obviously I do not know if you think getting three comics is
worth the price of the four comic auction as well as the hassle and cost
of mailing a comic to me... especially when you originally said you want
to avoid spending money. Either way I thought I should suggest it. If
you are at all interested, maybe we can discuss specific details apart
from the Groop and come to another arrangement we are both satisfied
with? Let me know, and obviously quickly,
_TONE_
